Which Products Require an Invite?

If you want to sell invite-only products, you must first get approval from TikTok Shop and submit the necessary documentation. Below are the key categories and requirements:

1. Secondhand Fashion, Electronics & Collectible Trading Cards

Permitted Items:

• Electronics: Mobile phones

• Fashion: Unique vintage pieces, deadstock

• Trading Cards: Singles and slabs

Requirements:

• Seller background information

• List of brands and SKUs

• Warehouse images

• Links to existing e-commerce stores with performance data (reviews, sales)

• UK business incorporation certificate and Company House registration (for secondhand electronics)

2. Food, Beverages & Supplements

Permitted Items:

• Non-perishable: Snacks, cereals, pasta, spreads, oils, and vinegar

• Perishable: Meat, seafood, dairy, frozen food, ready meals

• Supplements: Health and wellness products

Requirements:

• Food Business Operator (FBO) registration

• HACCP plan (for food and beverage manufacturers)

• Compliance with food labeling guidelines

• Certificate from approved food manufacturers (for supplement sellers)

3. Jewelry, Watches & Accessories

Permitted Items:

• Jewelry and watches containing diamonds or precious metals (gold, silver, platinum, palladium)

Restrictions:

4. Diapers

Permitted Items:

• Disposable, cloth, overnight, swim, and biodegradable diapers

5. Fresh Flowers & Live Plants

Permitted Items:

• Cut flowers, indoor and outdoor plants

Restrictions:

• No plants protected by law

• No harmful or restricted plant varieties

Requirements:

• UK Plant Passport

• Phytosanitary Certificate

• PEACH certification

• Proof of registration with APHA

6. Power Tools

Permitted Items:

• Electric drills, screwdrivers, wrenches, glue guns, pressure washers, spray guns, etc.

How to Apply for Invite-Only Access

To become an invite-only seller, follow these steps (desktop only):

1. Navigate to Profile Image -> My Account -> Account Settings on TikTok Shop.

   
2. Click on "Qualification Center"

   

   Select "Category Qualification."

   

   Click ""Add category Authorization"

   
3. Choose the applicable categories.

   
4. Upload the required documents.

   
5. Submit your application (you won’t be able to edit while it’s under review).

6. Once approved, you can list products under the designated category.

How Can I Appeal a Rejection?

If your application gets rejected, check the reason provided and follow the steps to fix and resubmit it.

What Happens If You Violate the Guidelines?

TikTok Shop monitors product listings regularly. Sellers who fail to comply with the invite-only guidelines may face the following actions:

• Product listings may be rejected.

• Products may be removed from the shop.

• Additional violations may lead to further action against the seller.
