If customer names in your TikTok Shop orders appear as asterisks (**** ), this indicates that TikTok Shop is handling order fulfillment, and customer details are intentionally obscured. To access full customer information, you must manage shipping independently by enabling the "Shipping by Seller" option. The following steps outline how to configure your shipping settings accordingly.

1. Open TikTok Shop Seller Center

2. Navigate to the Orders section in the Seller Center.

3. Choose the Shipping Option

Click on the Shipping Settings option. There are two types of shipping options available:

Shipping via Platform:

  • If you select this, your orders will be fulfilled through TikTok Shop's selected third-party shipping provider.

  • In this case, TikTok Shop will transfer the products to their warehouse and handle the shipping. However, you will not be able to view complete customer information and stars will appear instead of customer details.

Shipping by Seller:

  • If you don’t want stars to appear and need access to complete customer info, select the Shipping by Seller option. This means you will handle the shipping yourself.

  • To use this option, you will need to create or edit a Shipping Template.

Create or Edit a Shipping Template

  • If a shipping template is not already added, click on Add New Template.

  • If a template is already created, click to Edit the existing one.

7. Set Up Shipping Template

  • Template Name: Enter a name for the shipping template.

  • Shipping Fee Template: Here, you can specify the regions where you do not want to ship. People from those areas will not be able to place orders.

  • Delivery Areas: Add or edit regions where you will ship.

  • Shipping Rules: Set up the shipping costs based on product weight.

  • If there are areas not assigned to a region, they will be displayed here.

8. Submit and Enable Shipping by Seller

  • Once you’ve configured the template, click Submit.

  • Enable the Shipping by Seller option.

9. Customer Info Access

  • After enabling "Shipping by Seller," you will be able to see the complete customer information when an order is placed.
